Leland was Sequential Magazine’s Writer of the Year for 2022, as well as a three time finalist in Platform Comics’ 10k Comic Challenge and Short Comic competitions for his writing and lettering. He has published comics with Fugitive Poems, Bad Neighbor Comics, and wrote the sci-fi novella, Re:Awaken, for Splice Comics.

His independent comics, Capsules and Berserker Monk, were both Kickstarter success stories.

As a developmental editor, he has helped hundreds of writers realize the best possible version of their vision.

He lives in rural British Columbia, Canada, with his fiancé and their dog, Sprocket.
